4 toques from Gault & Millau

Experts of the legendary French guide gave White Rabbit the highest grade

 

Michelin's main rival, the famous restaurant rating Gault & Millau published in 30 countries, have been released in Russia. The White Rabbit restaurant featured in the first Russian edition has received top grades from the experts - 4 "toques", as well as "WOW!" mark which means that the institution features something special. "Here, traditional Russian dishes are intertwined with the latest gastronomic trends, and local products vie with recognized world delicacies," experts concluded.


Also White Rabbit was recognized as one of the Top 10 restaurants with exceptional wine card, and its chef Vladimir Mukhin received the highest recognition from Gault & Millau as "Legendary Chef".

Being among the world's top-50 best restaurants for three years in a row is a new achievement for White Rabbit. For the first time in history of this award russian restaurant steadily holds its position in the upper half of the rating.
Results of the independent international award The World’s 50 Best Restaurants-2017 were announced on April 5th in Melbourne. The list of the best restaurants was determined by a jury of 900 experts from 27 regions of the world, including gastronomic experts, journalists, chefs and other leaders of the international restaurant industry.

White Rabbit has again been included in the prestigious international rating of the world’s best restaurants!

 

Even higher, even better! On the 13th of June, in New York, the results of the independent international award The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2016 have been announced. The jury of 900 experts from 27 regions has named the Moscow-based restaurant White Rabbit 18th on the list of the world’s 50 best restaurants.

 

This is not the first time that restaurateur Boris Zarkov’s project (White Rabbit Family) has become nominated for the prestigious award. In 2014 White Rabbit and its chef Vladimir Mukhin were ranked 71st in the top-100 list, in 2015 they rose to 23rd place and were singled out as the “Highest New Entry” or “The most successful debut of the year”. In 2016 the restaurant solidified its position, rising five places higher. A new victory for a new year!

THE BEST RESTAURANT IN 2011

Apr. 19 annual prize of the jury, "Laurel Leaf" named the best in Moscow restaurants in 2011. Among the awardees and the restaurant White Rabbit - a laurel wreath he got the nomination "The best restaurant of 2011" according to the restaurant critics.

TIMEOUT ‘’MENU & BILL 2011’’ PRIZE

At the end of January, the biggest names in the restaurant industry were present for ’Menu & Bill’’ awards ceremony. Among the most distinguished restaurants, as the result of the oldsite’s votes, and also according to a prestigious jury, was the White Rabbit restaurant.

The prize ceremony took place for the sixth time as the current elite of the restaurant world gathered on January 26th at the InterContinental Moscow Tverskaya Hotel: critics, experts, senior chefs and restaurant owners were all present. Winners were determined in two ways: firstly by means of oldsite voting on the timeout.ru website which lasted for 3 months and then also by members of an expert jury who delivered their verdict during the ceremony. Thus, there could be two winners in each category. One of the key prizes was the ‘’Best New Restaurant’’ category, which was awarded to White Rabbit by the expert panel.

 

Additionally, the restaurant also received two awards in the category of ‘’Best Panoramic Restaurant’’ to consolidate the establishments’ status of having the chicest view on Moscow. Breaking out on the metropolitan restaurant’s horizon, the rising star of White Rabbit continues to deserve its high praise from sophisticated audiences and demanding experts. There’s no doubt about it: these prizes are only the beginning of a special mission for the restaurant in the gastronomic life of the capital.

Gastronomic prize ‘’Menu & Bill’’ was established by Time Out magazine and from 2007, it annually rewards the best bars and restaurants in Moscow, as well as representatives of the restaurant business who have made a significant contribution to its development over the past year. Since then, the Menu & Bill prize has shone a light on many restaurants and has become one of the most respected and prestigious culinary events of the year. The expert jury is made up of renowned critics, businessmen, retailers, restaurateurs –people who form the culinary trends of the future.

The team of restaurateur Boris Zarkov and Chef Vladimir Mukhin are once again demonstrating high level of workmanship, this time internationally.


List of the world's 50 best restaurants of 2014 was announced in the London Guildhall on the 28th of April. The annual award is organized by the British "Restaurant Magazine". White Rabbit was announced number 71 in the list and became the only Russian representative in a prestigious rating this year. Entering the rating was expected and well deserved. The work done since the opening by the team of the restaurant is just colossal. Despite the commercial success, awards, titles, prizes and a high status of Chef, the development was unceasing. White Rabbit was growing and improving with its team, every day getting better and gradually turning into a real gastronomical trendsetter, dictating entirely new rules of “the game”.


Since 2014 Vladimir Mukhin had become a Brand Chef of White Rabbit Family holding, which includes such restaurants as White Rabbit, Luciano, Zodiac and many other successful projects. That is why recognition at the international level is not just another stage, it is an important motivation to improve every day, not stopping for a single moment.

После победы на «Серебряном треугольнике» Владимир Мухин, шеф-повар White Rabbit Restaurant & Bar, отправился в Венецию защищать честь страны на конкурсе S.Pellegrino Cooking Cup. По итогам двух этапов соревнования он стал серебряным призером - никогда еще в истории конкурса Россия не занимала такого высокого места. Среди соперников Владимира были сильнейшие повара из Австралии, Китая, Бельгии, Израиля, Австрии, Голландии, Италии, Объединенных Арабских Эмиратов и США. По правилам конкурса участники должны были готовить блюда на небольшой кухне, расположенной на яхте. В их распоряжении были лишь ингредиенты, купленные ими утром того же дня на рынке Rialto. Владимир готовил жареную на сковороде мерлузу с ложной кашей из дикой спаржи, сердцевинами цветных томатов, семечками подсолнуха и костромской солью. «Я сделал выбор в пользу игры и превратил мое блюдо в пазл. Мне нравится органическая еда. Я считаю, что вкус блюда должен быть чистым от начала до конца», – прокомментировал свой выбор шеф-повар.

On April 10 the ending of the third Russian competition of young cooks "A silver triangle" took place. "The silver triangle" represents popular in Europe, but a unique format for Russia of professional competition of the cooks, as which equivalent "tops" the figure of the culinary specialist (his personal talent, charisma, creativity), development of national gastronomic traditions and its assessment experts — leading experts of branch acts. Absolute transparency of competitive procedures, system of multistage professional selection and clear system of estimation — experience of the previous competitions showed that the strongest gets "A silver triangle".


Three finalists - Vladimir Mukhin ("White Rabbit"), Andrey Zhdanov ("The the Garden") and Robert Kokaya ("Cipollino") - defended the vision of modern Russian kitchen. The chef of White Rabbit Restaurant & Bar restaurant Vladimir Mukhin became the winner of this year – it acquired the right to represent Russia in the European championship of young cooks of San Pellegrino Cooking Cup 2013 in Venice.

WHITE RABBIT RESTAURANT: NUMBER 23 IN THE WORLD’S 50 BEST RESTAURANTS!

On the 1st of June in London’s Guildhall the winners of yearly award, The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, were announced. Moscow-based White Rabbit, a project of Boris Zarkov, took the 23d place of the most prestigious international restaurant rating.
White Rabbit had also received a «Highest New Entry» award from an authoritative jury, after rising from the 71st to the 23d place in the list of the best restaurants of the world only in a year. For the first time in the history of the award Russian restaurant was acclaimed so highly by The World's 50 Best Restaurants Academy, which includes the leaders of the international restaurant industry:


gastronomic critics, chefs, restaurateurs and the most experienced foodies from 27 regions. Moreover - Vladimir Mukhin was also the youngest chef among all the winners of 2015.
